        Arya Rao is an Indian-Australian artist based in Los Angeles, her work is recognisable for the slow, sultry ballads that intricately weave her rich cultural heritage into each composition. With metaphorical lyrics and vivid imagery, she creates an immersive auditory experience, inviting listeners into the world she creates.

    With a background in opera, Indian classical, and choral music, Arya Rao explores themes of identity, grief, and vulnerability through her music. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Arya Rao has performed at various venues in Hollywood, continually adding to her journey as an artist.

   

    Her debut EP, Cry Love, set to be released December 14 this year, exemplifies her cinematic approach to songwriting. This project features a saturated sound characterized by heavy vocal layering and lush string arrangements, showcasing her exceptional vocal talent and evocative storytelling.
